Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Thriftdex (the "App") is operated by Broftware House Yazılım Tasarım Anonim Şirketi ("Broftware", "we", "us"), a company established in the Republic of Türkiye. This policy explains what data the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. You can reach us any time at thriftdex@broftware.com.

2. Data we collect

Anonymous identifier. An anonymous identifier is created automatically when you first open the App. You never give us a name, an email address or a password to use the App.
App activity. Usage events (screens viewed, features used) collected through the analytics services listed below. Your Haul, recent scans and selling costs stay on your device.
Purchase data. Your subscription or purchase status (not your payment details — payments are processed entirely by Apple).
Device data. Device model, OS version, language, app version, push token, and identifiers such as the identifier for vendor (IDFV) and, with your permission, the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Camera. With your permission, the App uses your camera so you can photograph your finds.
Photos. The App can only see the photos you pick; it has no access to the rest of your library.
Scan photos. When you scan a find, its photos go to our scan service, which sends them to eBay for image search and to Anthropic to read the item and its tags. Our scan service does not store them, and they are not used for anything but your scan. Your copies stay on your device with the find.
Support. If you email us or send in-app feedback, we receive the content of your message.

3. How we use your data

We use this data to operate the App, to identify and price your finds, to fix crashes and improve features, to understand aggregate usage, to measure our ad campaigns, and to process subscriptions. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Services we rely on

The App uses a small set of established service providers, which process data on our behalf:

Firebase (Google) — anonymous sign-in, database, cloud functions, crash reporting, analytics, and configuration.
Adapty — subscription management.
Amplitude and Mixpanel — product analytics.
Anthropic — reading scan photos to identify finds.
eBay — image search and listing data. Listings open on eBay under eBay's own terms.

5. Tracking

iOS asks for your permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, the advertising identifier is used to measure how our ad campaigns perform. The App works the same if you decline. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

6. Data retention and deletion

Delete my data in the App's settings clears your Haul, recent scans and settings from your device at once. To delete what our service providers hold under your anonymous identifier, email us at thriftdex@broftware.com from the App so we can find it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at thriftdex@broftware.com.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and handled by reputable cloud providers such as Google Cloud. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit collection to what the App needs to work.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers located in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page; material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date above.
